NEURAL MIST PROTOCOL

The Neural Mist was the most disruptive technology of OC-002: an aerosolized brain-computer interface capable of establishing direct neural uplinks without surgical intervention. Inhaled as a fine mist, the nano-scale transmitter particles self-organized within the cortical tissue, forming a temporary but high-bandwidth bridge between biological cognition and the Sovereign Vault Framework.

Neural Mist deployment required the Somnus-Zero hardware platform — a sleep-state induction and monitoring system that created the optimal neurological conditions for stable uplink formation. Bio-Kinetics, the companion discipline, governed how the body's own movement and metabolic signals were interpreted and translated into navigable data streams within the framework.

Vault 03 is also where KIRA's cognitive security role was formally defined. As the Neural Mist protocol expanded access to the Vault Framework, the risk of unauthorized cognitive intrusion increased proportionally. KIRA was deployed as a three-layer Neural Intrusion Lock — NIL Protocol — operating as a real-time firewall between connected consciousness architectures and the sealed vault data.

The NIL-3 layers represent detection, isolation, and counter-signature generation. KIRA's presence in any connected session ensures that identity boundaries remain intact even when multiple consciousness signatures share the same uplink window.
